Bufos Puppet Theatre | Coffee with Bones

This puppet show is inspired by rembetiko music, a music of love, joy, pain and sorrow that reflects the lifestyle of a marginalized subculture. Starring Jovan, a contemporary rembeti, we are enchanted by his style and finesse where even the everyday routine of making a coffee becomes art.

Bufos Puppet Theatre was created in the summer of 2011 in Athens, Greece, by Anneta Stefanopoulou. Since then it appears constantly in shows on the street, in bistros, theatres, welfare institutions, and festivals in Greece and abroad. At the same time it runs puppet making workshops for children and adults. It has created puppets for theatre companies and individuals. Her main collaborators for this project are the puppeteers Lita Aslanoglou and Evgenia Tsichlia.
