A screencast showing my Max/MSP project for UVic Music 307. It uses the coll object to make a sequence player, with a score format like a Csound score. This also includes an arpeggiator/delay patch that delays and alters the messages, and a simple monosynth using some Beap modules that plays the Csound style messages. This project draws on the Alessandro Cipriani and Maurizio Giri book for some of the coll-csound-score-format ideas.
The intent was to experiment with triggering score type messages, and build ways of delaying and altering them as they play. The next step will likely be to redo the sequence patch as an extension in C, as there are things about coll that were a pain. It would be nice to able to write to the data structure to alter the sequence over OSC messages too so that one could write a tracker style grid interface in Python/QT and muck with the sequences that way.
If you find this kind of work interesting, you might like my recent project, Scheme for Max, an open source external for embedding s7 Scheme in Max/MSP for making advanced sequencers. Please see the channel "Music With Lisp" here: / @musicwithlisp
