In this video, I discussed the main talking points surrounding both the Australia and England squads ahead of the highly-anticipated first Ashes Test in Perth. England are definitely the more confident side heading into this first Test, as both their batters and bowlers performed very well in their warm-up game against the Lions in Lilac Hill, and after Mark Wood was cleared of any injury to his hamstring, things couldn’t look better for England at the moment. For Australia though, there is still uncertainty surrounding their batting lineup even this close to the first Test, and with their fast-bowling stocks heavily depleted due to injuries to Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Sean Abbott, Australia are certainly not at the strongest or most-confident.
