In todays video Sam covers the 3 types of bonding, and summaries it in a nice table form at the end. He begins by covering what an Ion is as a refresher and how they form and then covers the compound ions AQA want you to remember. After that, he moves onto explaining ionic bonding and all the situations you can have containing ionic bonds. Following, he talks about covalent bonds and the structures associated– Macromolecular / Molecular with the typical examples (Diamond and graphite). Finally, he covers metallic bonds and everything you need to know about them.

As an extra (Beyond the specification) pointer, Sam talks about the differences in electronegativity in certain types of bonds that could help you decide if a bond is ionic or covalent
