Reacting to My OLD Guinea Pig Care… I Cringed So Hard 😅

In this video, I'm reacting to my old guinea pig care videos — including some very questionable setups and ideas I definitely don't recommend anymore 😬

It's a little hard to watch, but I wanted to show that it's okay to start off wrong, as long as you're willing to learn and improve. The small animal community is overall sweet and supportive. however there's a small amount of people who like to act as though they know best, and shame new owners. i want to normalise the fact that some people get handed the wrong information or are young. Children (such as myself at the time) may have parents that buy them pets and accept the outdated care pet shops give them. When giving advice, it isn't the time to be rude or judgemental (leave that for the people who CHOOSE to leave their animals like that). instead, we need to be calm and polite to leave a better chance of these people listening to us. kindness goes a long way and is so important when being persuasive. i want to make it extremely clear that I DO NOT condone hutches or most of the care i previously gave to my old animals. animal care can be a journey, we should all share what we know and welcome new members to the community! If you're new to guinea pig care or feeling overwhelmed, I hope this helps you feel more confident and less judged.
