Every year, starting in September, we see rats moving out of the fields where their homes and food sources have been disturbed by harvesting. We find it very important to prepare the smallholding by making it inhospitable to rats.
We strongly recommend appropriate training in understanding rodents and the legal, ethical use of rodenticides to farmers, smallholders and poultry keeping.
