📍 Mastering Piano Movements with Oclef Notation 🎹✨
Welcome back to our Oclef notation series! In our last video, we covered crossovers, cross-unders, pivot crossovers, and shifts—key movements in piano technique. Today, we’re diving deeper into three more essential movements:
🔹 Stretches – Expanding beyond a natural five-finger position.
🔹 Folds – Reshaping the hand for fluid transitions.
🔹 Jumps – Moving to new positions across the keyboard.
As pedagogy students, you’ll soon be helping beginners understand these movements intuitively. This lesson breaks down how to recognize, notate, and teach each movement effectively.
💡 Assignment:
Observe how professors incorporate these techniques in your Kaizen shadowing sessions and practice applying Oclef notation to real music!
📌 Stay tuned for our next session, where we’ll explore advanced movement combinations in intermediate repertoire!
