Projections for the year 2030 state that about 600 million Indians will reside in urban areas, an increase of over 200 million in just 20 Years. Massive peri-urbanization happens when a country approaches advanced stages of development. As a result, there is the proliferation of Industries, expansion of Urban areas with the conversion of agricultural land, and change in the livelihood patterns of peri-urban communities.
