Byaku was created for Jerwood Makers Open 2013 in London by Nahoko Kojima. It is her biggest and most ambitious piece yet, depicting a suspended sculpture of a life-sized swimming Polar Bear, handmade using only one sheet of white Japanese Washi Paper. This short promo film coincides with the National UK Tour of Byaku and in it, Nahoko talks about the process and challenges she faced.
