This video covers all of the key steps in my method of creating a dry point etching using an acrylic (Perspex/Plexiglass) plate and a Sizzix die cutting machine, with a modified bed for use as an intaglio printing press.
In real time, this process took about one hour but please bear in mind that this is a particularly simple line image and I have not included time spent drawing the design, cleaning the plate, drying and pressing the print. Additionally, Paper Lore papers are very absorbent and therefore requires far less soaking time than traditional printmaking papers.
