🎧GIG LOG 066 – 8th Grade Prom Vibes in South Jersey! 🎉

We’re back with another gig log, and this one was a BLAST! I had the pleasure of DJing an 8th grade prom for a school in South Jersey, and let me tell you — these kids knew how to party! From the moment the music started, it was non-stop energy on the dance floor. 🙌

This event marked the debut of my brand-new Electro-Voice Everse 8 battery-powered speakers! Yes, I know I already have the Mackie Thump Go's, but I’ve been running into issues with a function button on one, and downtime isn’t an option when you’re booked and busy. So I made the move — and honestly, probably should have gotten the Everse 8s first. No shade to the Mackies — they served me well!

I paired the Everse 8s with my EV ELX200 sub and, surprisingly, my "one sub, two 8-inch tops" setup has become a killer combo. It’s not a typical sound hack, but it works, and it bangs. Portability with power — love it.
