1. Learning Song Structures: The type of drum kit you use makes zero difference when learning song structures.
2. Movement Patterns: I discuss the importance of setting up your electronic drum kit to closely resemble your acoustic kit and how this can impact how easily you can transfer the chops and grooves that you've practice to the acoustic kit.
3. Bass Drum Techniques: For learning double kick patterns and practicing speed exercises etc the e-kit can be your best friend...just think of all those Demi-semiquaver drills you play on loop for hours on end!
4. Recording Demos: Electric drums can simplify the recording process, offering flexibility and ease when laying down demo tracks, especially if you're trying to work out the drum part with the client in the room and you can talk over the drums easily.
