Paneer Makhani is one of the famous gravies of North Indian cuisine. The soft paneer and creamy delicious gravy pairs well with any Indian flat breads such as Naan, Kulcha, Roti or even simple Pulavs.
Ingredients:
500g paneer (cottage cheese)
1kg red tomatoes
1 onion (chopped)
3 tbsp cashew nuts
6-7 cardamoms
2 maces
1 tsp kasoori methi (fenugreek leaves)
1 tsp kalonji (nigella seeds)
2 tbsp butter
Coriander and green chillies for garnishing
1 tsp garam masala (spice mixture)
11/2 tsp red chillie powder
2 tbsp ketchup
11/4 tsp salt (as per taste)
3 tbsp garlic-ginger paste
200ml fresh cream
