On Friday, April 13, 2012, the National Air and Space Museum and the National Association for Urban Debate Leagues (NAUDL) presented a public student debate on the 2011-2012 US policy on space exploration and development beyond the Earth's mesosphere. Two teams of students from the country's top urban debate leagues squared-off in "The Great Space Debate." The event was judged by a distinguished panel of debate and space industry experts, as well as Museum visitors.
