funkymirkin Plays: Pro Evolution Soccer 2 (Playstation 2)

So to kick back off a foray into the retro gaming world, I've decided to go with THE GREATEST FOOTBALL GAME EVER MADE Pro Evolution Soccer on the PS2.
Personally for me leading upto this game Konami had been kicking EA's pansy asses since they released the ISS games and then went and improved by making the much more realistic ISS Pro Evolution Soccer for the PS1 and soon the second on our grey friend.
They truly however became standard bearers when the PS2 came around when they dropped the ISS and released the first Pro Evo obviously with improved graphics and gameplay on its predecessors.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2 though took football gaming to another level altogether with slick realistic gameplay and with a couple of great tracks on the Soundtrack from the Iconic Queen.
A Training mode complete with mini games where you could score points and a leaderboard so you could scrap it out with your mates for bragging rights.
Winning trophies meant you unlocked them to a cabinet so you could show off what you won and also unlocking classic international teams and players.
The graphic may not look quite so good now as they did then but the gameplay still stands the test of time and the commentary is still far from perfect but it's charm was how amusing it was to hear Peter Brackley & Trevor Brooking.
I hope you enjoy my match against Nigeria, Decided to crank it up to hardest level after a couple of matches on level 3 as a warm up.
I am now going to find it hard to tear myself away from this all time classic that was played to death back in the day with my friends, fond memories are evoked.
