Back when Splatoon 3 launched, before I knew the title of this song, in my head I called this "that spinning song" because it played in that one section in the rocket where you're going up a big spiral. The original Japanese name of the song translates to "Reversed Fate Rolling Stone," so I tried to incorporate that into the lyrics a little bit. It all culminated into lyrics that I'm pretty proud of.

Turning the video into a speedpaint was actually a pretty last-minute decision. I had something else planned already, but decided it was a little too generic for the theme of the song. It'll probably get reused for something else. I didn't wanna plaster the lyrics over the video itself in case if people wanted to just watch the speedpaint itself, which lead to the different subtitle styles. The stylized "karaoke-like" subtitles just look nice to me, but it totally ruins the transcript, and I figured people might appreciate having a more standard subtitle style as an option as well. It's just good for accessibility.
