I'm currently chasing the next eruption of Kīlauea on Hawaiʻi’s Big Island — and learning as I go. In this video, I walk you through the resources I use to make informed decisions, including tiltmeter and seismometer data from USGS, eruption patterns, and even weather forecasts that can affect visibility.
There’s a lot of talking, some hopefully useful info, and a few moments of chaotic screen sharing. No drama, just a real look into what it takes to follow volcanic activity with purpose.
