Diabetic Retinopathy Diagnosis and Treatment Urdu/Hindi

Al–Shifa Eye Hospital, Laser & Glaucoma Center, Bahawal Pur, Pakistan,explains that, as diabetes is increasing day by day, its affects on the retina are getting more and more common. So it is advised that diabetic person must control his diabetes along with control of hypertension and avoid smoking and continue regular exercise to avoid and prevent developing diabetic Retinopathy. He is also advised to get annual check up of retina for this purpose.
Diabetic Retinopathy develops by pathological changes in retinal arteries, capillaries and venules by two mechanism, first one occlusion of the vessels which leads to tissue Hypoxia, release of Vasoformative factor and formation of new vessels , which are abnormal, fragile and may rupture and cause retinal, pre retinal and vitreous Haemorrhages.
In second mechanism, vessels walls become diseased and leaky, leading to formation of exudates in the Retina and Macula. Macular exudates and Macular Oedema leads to thickening of the Macula and loss of vision.
Now a days we save vision by doing laser Photocoagulation: focal, grid or pan- retinal depending upon level and grade of Retinopathy. Intravitreal injections of AntiVEGF is also an alternative remedy to prevent visual loss.
In very advanced cases of proliferative diabetic Retinopathy where fibrovascular tractional bands are formed, we may need surgical procedure to remove the tractional bands and apply endolaser Photocoagulation to the Retina during operation.   • Видео  t Us:
