Born on 14th February 1949 in the then Belgian Congo,this man Josky Kiambukuta Londa also known as "Djo Sex" started singing in 1965 as a 16 year old in Dr Nico's African Fiesta Sukisa,later on he moved to the Military band Orchestre Continental and played alongside Gespard Wuta Mayi and Bopol Mansiamina just to mention a few.In 1971/2 he joined TP OK JAZZ as a singer.
This was a time when Franco was toying with the idea of "integrating" and "synthesising" the music of the OK JAZZ School with that of the AFRICAN JAZZ School.Josky was the MOST IMPORTANT face of that project and he didn't dissapoint.Josky is known for his UNIQUE VOICE that can oscillate from very high notes to very low notes.He can sing higher than everybody(1st Tenor) and lower than everybody(deep bass).A perfect example of this phenomenon is the song "Missile".
