I love Castlevania, I love Michiru Yamane and I love Atlantis... finding them all together in my Megadrive was awesome to say the least. And that song was my instant favorite in the game... and still is. Back in 2002 I was experimenting a lot with Fruity Loops, often having no idea of what I was doing. After gathering a few soundfonts, I tried different things, and one of them was orchestral.
Out of frustration, I stopped trying to make instruments sound 'alive', since I always could tell they weren't, so I started focusing more on synth exploration, to this day.
I never shared this before, but this was one of the pieces that came out after being so delightfully inspired by Yamane and Castlevania... it has its moments I'd say ;) Back from the dead in 2002 to the eternity of the Internet... so far.
