Laylat al-Qadr, often translated as the Night of Decree or the Night of Power, is considered one of the holiest nights in Islam. It falls within the last ten nights of Ramadan, though its exact date is uncertain, with strong indications pointing to it being on one of the odd-numbered nights during this period, most commonly on the 27th night.
Muslims believe that Laylat al-Qadr is the night when the Quran was first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by Allah through the angel Gabriel. It is a night of immense blessings, forgiveness, and mercy, with prayers and acts of worship performed during this night believed to be equivalent to those performed over a thousand months.
