THIS TEAM IS ONLY FOR THE BRAVE Great League FT Shadow Sandslash Gyarados Feraligatr Pokemon Go PvP

Welcome back to the channel. This weekend we had Season 24's Go Battle Weekend with 200 battles available. I tried many different team compositions. Some went well and others not so much.

After my first few teams didn't go so well and seeing a heap of flyers, Wigglytuff, Bastiodon, Azumarill, and other boring, annoying, bulky picks, I thought it was time to dust off my favorite anti-meta pick, Shadow Alolan Sandslash. This Pokémon has great play but is a very high-risk, high-reward pick. It has two double weaknesses to both Fire and Fighting, which are both fairly common in the open Great League meta.

To help cover these weaknesses, I am opting for a double water strategy. Shadow Feraligatr will be operating as the safe switch with Shadow Gyarados in the closer position.

The double water strategy both handle fire types whislt Gyarados sub flying typing resists fighting and Feraligatr running shadow claw hits the most common fighter in the meta for super effective damage making this team at least on paper a very solid line of three.


Of all the buffed Pokémon from Season 24's move rebalance, Shadow Gyarados might just be my favorite. However, much like Sandslash, it can feel like a risky pick. It is lightning fast and hits like a truck; however, it has a distinct lack of bulk and can often be found in very polarizing matches. Get it aligned against a Carbink or Electric type and you will get deleted.

A very fun, very powerful, and an oppressive shadow team that will bring you success if you're brave enough to run it. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
