On Monday 5th May 2025 at Oulton Park just after 3:30pm a catastrophic accident occurred on the opening lap of the British Supersport Championship race involving eleven riders.
The accident claimed the lives of Owen Jenner (21) and Shane Richardson (28).
The entire motorcycle racing community stands together supporting the families, friends, team members, marshals, medics and officials affected by this tragedy.
Prior to the accident the opening two races in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship had been completed and The Thrill of the Race was there to capture every angle.
This episode is dedicated to the memory of Owen Jenner and Shane Richardson.
