I tested Cyberpunk 2077 on a PC packed with a Ryzen 9 5900X, RTX 3070, 32GB RAM, and NVMe storage.
On Windows, the game runs smoothly with DLSS and ray tracing enabled, providing better frame rates right out of the box and ensuring perfect compatibility with drivers and overlays. The visual quality is outstanding, and there is no need for improvement.
On Linux (with Proton GE and Vulkan), performance was surprisingly close, with barely a 5-10% FPS loss. However, several ray tracing features required further configuration, and a slight shader stutter occurred in densely populated areas.
Overall, Windows is the best option for playing Cyberpunk 2077, although Linux can deliver decent performance with some setup work.
