ON! Theater Presents: "Matilda The Musical" With The Students of GALA

In the fall/winter of 2022, Opening Night Theater worked with the wonderful middle and high school students of the Girls Academic Leadership Academy, with a full student crew, to bring the magical story of Matilda to life on the stage of the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre. Thank you to our friends at the beautiful Wilshire Ebell Theatre for hosting our weekly rehearsals! This is the junior version of the hit musical with some extended and added musical numbers. ✨ 🎭 📚 🎂 🎶

Matilda is the story of an extraordinary girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny. MATILDA THE MUSICAL follows this little girl with astonishing wit as she starts attending school and faces off against the mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull. Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace.
