Gathering Cockles is a great way to spend an afternoon on the beach. This trip from February 2020 is to Goolwa Beach in South Australia. I have Joe and Miranda, the cockle hunting Staffy, along for the ride and between us we manage a nice haul. Remember to check the restrictions on size and bag limits for your area before your trip.
