Dr. Nelson Cuboia is a Mozambican medical doctor with a PhD in Clinical and Health Service Research. His expertise spans Bayesian disease mapping, evidence synthesis, research methodology, data analysis, and pain and palliative care.
He is an invited lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto, and a researcher at CINTESIS & RISE-Health.
He founded the Pain and Palliative Care Service at Hospital Rural de Chicumbane in Mozambique.
Actively engaged in capacity-building initiatives across Africa, trains researchers in both Portuguese- and English-speaking countries. Throughout his career, he has received over twelve international awards and scholarships.
