Erick Fire Siren Noon Blast (Short Alert) | Cameron WI

I’m finally back to recording sirens. As of late, I have been really busy with work, school, and just life in general. In this break, I got my drivers license, I got a job, a girlfriend, and much more. This break wasn’t intentional at all but just happened. Anyways, today I decided to head to this Erick in Cameron. I’ve already recorded this siren before back in October of 2024 but my video was kind of bad so I decided to re record it. I got here at about 11:40AM and started driving around looking for a spot to set up. I settled on some spot by some dumpster. I’ve come up with a pretty clever set up for siren recording recently. In my Honda Element, the seats can fold up on the inside walls of the car creating a flat floor through the back. So, I fold up one of the seats, open up the top part of my tailgate, and sit on the other seat watching my camera. It works really well for weather like this and keeps me out of the wind and cold. I started recording, and at 11:58AM, this siren fired up. I was very happy that it went off since I went to the Nelson Wisconsin Sentry 3V8 on Saturday to which it failed. I also went to the Camp Douglas Wisconsin Decot last month just to find out it doesn’t go off at noon anymore. After the test, I went to the towns of Chetek, New Auburn, and Bloomer Wisconsin to get pictures of their sirens. My video didn’t turn out exactly how I wanted it to but I’m not too bummed since I’m just happy to have a video out. Also, when I zoom out you can see the control boxes of the 2001-SRN that is next to it. Enjoy!
