Jardin du Luxembourg
The Jardin du Luxembourg is a garden open to the public, located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. Created in 1612 at the request of Marie de Medici to accompany the Luxembourg Palace1, it was the subject of a restoration directed by the architect Jean-François-Thérèse Chalgrin under the First Empire and now belongs to the domain of the Senate. It covers 23 hectares (21 open to the public) with flower beds and sculptures2.

In 2022, according to a ranking of the English-speaking site HouseFresh which has aggregated the opinions of tens of thousands of tourists, it is designated as the most beautiful garden in Europe and third most beautiful garden in the world, behind the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore and the Majorelle Garden in Marrakech.
