Sri Siddheshwar Temple is an ancient Hemadpanthi temple located in Machnur, Solapur district. It is located on the Solapur-Mangalwedha highway, 40 km from Solapur and 26 km from Pandharpur. It is 14 km from Mangalwedha. The road leading to the village first passes the Siddheshwar Temple and at the end of the road is the Machnur Fort.

The Bhima River, which flows towards Machnur after touching the feet of Vitthal at Pandharpur and flows here. This river is known as Chandrabhaga. Saints like Shankaracharya, Swami Samarth, Sitaram Maharaj, Baba Maharaj Arvikar etc. have visited this place.

Ahilyabai Holkar built a magnificent ghat on the river side. There is a Jatashankar temple in the riverbed. However, when going towards the entrance of the temple, there is a Mallikarjuna temple on the left side and a monastery of Baba Maharaj Arvikar on the right side. The fort of Emperor Aurangzeb is located near the monastery.

This ancient grand Hemadpanthi temple is located on the banks of the Bhima River in Machnur. A large number of devotees visit this temple during the month of Shravan and Mahashivratri. A large number of devotees and tourists from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, etc. visit this temple every year.

This temple has been famous since ancient times. Also, many important functions of
Emperor Aurangzeb were carried out from Machnoor. The fort of Machnoor as well as the old fort in the neighboring village of Begumpur are also famous.

This temple complex is built in black stone. The structure of this temple is similar to the temple of Tuljapur. After entering through the stone entrance, there are deodhas for guards on both sides. Further, one can reach the second entrance by descending spacious steps. Veergalis are installed on both sides of the wall of this entrance. The temple has a 3-foot Nandi. There are 2 doors to reach the Shivlinga. The first door is 5 feet high and the second door is 2.5 feet high. You have to enter the temple only through this window and door.
