Let's define H. pylori! It is a common type of bacteria that grows in the digestive tract and tends to attack the stomach lining. The bacteria can change the setting around them and reduce their acidity to survive. The spiral shape of H. pylori allows them to penetrate your stomach lining, where the mucus can protect them, and your body’s immune cells cannot reach them.

The bacteria can interfere with your immune response and ensure that they can survive, leading to stomach problems. It can also cause Atrophic gastritis (AG) when the stomach's lining has been inflammation for several years.
