A big issue today is whether to receive Holy Communion on the tongue or in the hand. Church documents state that receiving on the tongue is desired, but according to the “General Instruction of the Roman Missal,” the consecrated Host may be received either on the tongue or in the hand at the discretion of each communicant. Father Chris Alar, MIC reveals there is much more to add to the discussion. Then hear about iCare, a ministry that opens the doors of the Church in a special way to children and adults with developmental disabilities along with their families.
Watch Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, and the Marian Fathers and Brothers from the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy on our weekly show, "Living Divine Mercy," airing on EWTN every Thursday at 10 pm ET, with an encore presentation on Mondays at 9:00 am ET. Through teaching segments, Bible and St. Faustina Diary excerpts, as well as real-life examples of people who are living Divine Mercy in their lives, you will learn why Jesus said Divine Mercy is mankind's last hope of salvation!
