Our goals & dream, is to make great impact in taking action in the fight against extreme poverty in our communities, and the world at large.


So we have started the fight to empower the fallen in our society. Vulnerable children, youth and women from the slums, especially the commercial sex workers to become responsible individuals in the society.

We strongly believe that together we can make the world a better place, by snatching them from the fire, and let their come back be greater than their setbacks

Vision: To transform the lives of the young generation, to discover, educate, empower, and advocate for them for the development of our Society and to take the gospel to the world,

Mission: To empower the fallen in society. Vulnerable children, youth and women from the slums, especially the commercial sex workers to become responsible individuals in the society.

Motto: Jude 1:23 - Snatch them from the Fire: Let their comeback be greater than their setbacks

Cry from the Slums was started by Evangelist Moses Success Kamara who felt strongly led to work at ensuring that these lives are changed for good. It’s a non- profit organization.


t’s estimated there could be up to 240,000 female commercial sex workers in Sierra Leone, according to UNAIDS; however, it is believed that number has increased due to the Ebola epidemic, which ended in 2016 and Covid 19 which is ongoing.

Our focus/ What we do:
We work at empowering vulnerable children, women, and youths, especially the commercial sex workers, through advocacy and charity.
Peoples who’s lives are being riddled with poverty, drug addiction/ abuse, homelessness, illiteracy, lack of guidance, exposure to bad weather, orphans, anxiety, depression and other mental health issues are our focus. Ensuring behavioural change in commercial sex workers and equipping them towards better living is our priority.


We therefore provide free transitional housing, food and supportive welfare services after taking them off the slums as we make available counseling services and life skills trainings to prepare them to be self-sufficient. We ensure that they are adequately empowered and then get them reintegrated into the society, some starting off new businesses and some going back to school to continue their education. More attention is paid in providing financial support to those with complex challenges that may trigger off a fall back if no support is given.


Progress made so far:

As our society felt the isolation caused by the pandemic, with the help of GEM, Pastor Pitts, Pastor Sidikie, Moses and the generous support of OUR. We are honored to present the 26 Survivors Report.

We hope reading this report can be use as an opportunity to celebrate the tremendous impact we have made in the lives of the 26 Survivors, through the support of OUR.  out of 26 Survivors with a start up business capital. 25 of them are doing extremely well with their business presently except one who was out of the country, she went to visit are family.
