Riding Banks Peninsula doesn’t always mean blue skies and big views.
In this ride, I head out on my KTM 390 Adventure R, joined by my mate Matt on his 2005 BMW HP2, tracing some of my favourite Banks Peninsula backroads — up and over Western Valley Road, across to Jubilee Road, along Bossu, and out to Birdlings Flat.
The weather had other plans.
Clouds rolled in, visibility disappeared, and what started as a scenic ride turned into something a bit more challenging.
