Sunday I made my way back to Heaton Park, this time to Porpers Hill or Gallagher Hill as some call it, to document the scenes from outside Oasis gig.
No ticket, no problem. Thousands gathered with the same mission: sing Wonderwall, feel the moment, and celebrate one of Manchester’s greatest bands.
The atmosphere was unreal fireworks popping, fans buzzing, people singing their hearts out without even being in the venue.
Bit of United and City banter flying about, little scraps here and there, but overall it was pure love.
This is what music does. This is what Oasis means to Manchester.
Massive respect to the Gallaghers and the fans – you all did the city proud.
