May 29, 2024 -- We crossed Lake Huron and the Georgian Bay on a large ferry from Tobermory to Manitoulin Island. After being onboard for two hours, we were ready to stretch our legs and found the interesting and low-use Fossil Hill Escarpment Trail. Probably the most popular hike on the island is the Cup and Saucer Trail, and it didn't disappoint as we saw an owl, vultures and beautiful views from the top of the cliffs. We also visited Bridal Veil Fall before leaving the island on the historic Little Current Swing Bridge. Our next boondocking location turned out to be one with a great view in the Small Crafts Harbour in Blind River, Ontario.
