This was quite the adventurous cafe day! Not only did we go past downtown, we essentially went past the city to an area called San Marino. We went because this popular bike shop there, The Cub House, was holding some events that day so we thought we'd finally check the place out. It certainly was a community center for cyclists in the area, and we had fantastic drinks from a pop up out of a van! However, we needed food, and for that we went to the next neighborhood over, Highland Park, to a spot that exceeded my already high expectations. Prior to that, however, we stopped by probably one of my favorite filming locations yet! It's the setting for a story about a boy and his beloved bike. I guess it made quite the impression on me when I was little! And just like Pee Wee, this was Susie's Big Adventure.
