Living as an Expat in Albania | Supermarket Haul & Observations

What are you planning to eat this Christmas? I think I'll be having lunch meat turkey and fried potatoes. Not what I'm used to, but at least I have turkey! My Airbnb doesn't have an oven, so I can't actually cook a full turkey and for some reason, I couldn't find turkey breasts. I checked online, and there are a couple of restaurants serving turkey here, but no mashed potatoes and certainly no pumpkin pie, traditional mainstays at the Layton household. I usually did an English-style Christmas dinner (I try to celebrate my heritage with different ethnicities every holiday - Christmas Eve was Scandinavian, Christmas was English, Easter was Irish, etc) with figgy pudding, wassail, crackers, things and of course, the turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and pumpkin pie, but since it's just me this year (my sister is now joining one of my cousins for Christmas and my mom passed away in 2023) this is going to be Christmas Redux. At least it's Christmas, and in my follow-up Christmas Market Haul, you'll see what else I bought for the holiday!
