Tribute to Dear Brother Paul Wong Chee Meng (1969 - 2025)

𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥… 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐨𝐝, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭
Paul… 你现在已经回到上帝、回到主耶稣的怀里了。

And even as I say that, I still struggle to find the right words to fully understand or comprehend the news I received on Saturday night.

Because you were someone so full of life - full of Energy, Passion, Music, Honor, Respect, and Love for everyone around you. Anyone who has ever met you could see that clearly.

When I heard the news, I didn’t know what to say, I didn’t even know how to react.

But inside, I felt an overwhelming sadness… like I had just lost someone truly special.

I also felt regret, regret that I didn’t talk to you more, didn’t whatsapped you more time with you. But the moments we did share, I Treasure those times deeply.

You were one of the first person who gave me the opportunity to organize my concert at Megastar Arena, not once, but twice. 2016. 2019.
Back then, I was no body to even ask for a Worldclass Indoor Venue

But you believed in me. You gave me a part of yourself, your trust, your venue, and your support. Both of us know the backstory of how it all became a reality… and I will always be grateful for that.

We also shared a love for food.
You always knew I loved good food and drinks, and every time you invited me to your home for BBQ or Gatherings, for your Private Kitchen, for the Special Soup your wife made… it was Unforgettable.
Yes, your house was far and I always complained, but every time I was there, I Genuinely am Re-energised by your Spirit and Passion!

Paul, you are a True Family man, the real Definition of one.
The way you Loved, Raised and Guided your family is something I deeply Admire, something I hope to learn from, and something I hope to emulate. Your children are so well-brought up… and when children turn out this good, it’s because the parents did something right. You did Something Right.

And I know how Strong your love for God was.
Even though I may not show that same level of Fire and Passion as you, I could always feel it whenever we met.
You always blessed me in Chinese when we spoke on the phone or in person :
“上帝给你的智慧，上帝给你的恩爱…”
I will always Remember those Words.

Your passing is such a Tremendous Loss, not only just to us in the Entertainment Industry, not just to the people who worked with you, but to everyone lucky enough to have Crossed Paths with you as a human being.

You showed me So much about this industry.
You gave many Opportunities when they needed them most.
And you Did it with Sincerity and Heart. and Most Significantly, with Enthusiasm

Honestly… I don’t know what else to say, because Nothing I say will ever feel enough. And I’m sure many people out there will have their Own Stories, their own beautiful Memories of you.

But these two words, I will always say them, whether you are here or not:

Paul… 你现在已经回到上帝、回到主耶稣的怀里了。

即使我这样说，我依然很难用言语去形容、去理解，星期六晚上得知这个消息时，我内心的震撼与无法消化的感觉。

因为你是一个充满生命力的人——
充满 能量、热情、音乐、荣誉、尊重、爱，
对每一个身边的人都是真心相待。
任何认识你的人，都看得见、感受得到。

当我听到这个消息时，我真的不知道要说什么，
甚至连要怎么反应都不知道。

但我心里面，却涌起一股深深的悲伤……
那是一种失去了一个真正特别的人、失去了一个难以取代的朋友的痛。

我也带着遗憾——
遗憾没有多跟你聊聊天、没有多 WhatsApp 你、没有更常与你联络。
但我们一起度过的每一个时刻，我都深深珍惜。

你是第一个愿意给我机会、让我在 Megastar Arena 举办演唱会的人，
而且不是一次，而是两次——
2016，2019。

那时候的我，根本没有资格去要求一个世界级的室内场地。
但你相信我。
你把你的信任、你的场地、你的支持，都交给了我。

我们两个都知道当中的故事、也知道这一切是怎样一步一步变成现实的…
而我永远、永远都感激你。

我们也同样热爱美食。
你知道我爱吃好东西、爱喝好东西。
每次你邀请我去你家 BBQ、你的私人厨房、
或是你太太亲手煮的那碗特别的汤…
都是难以忘记的味道与回忆。

是的，你家很远，我每次都会抱怨。
但每一次见你、每一次到你家，
我都能感受到你的正能量，你的热情，你的生命力。
你会让我重新被点燃、被激励。

Paul，你是真正的家庭男人。
是真正用行动去定义“家庭”的男人。

你爱家人的方式、你教育孩子的方式、
你保护并带领家人的方式——
我深深佩服，也希望自己将来也能做到。

你的孩子们这么优秀，
是因为你和太太做对了很多事情。
你真的做得很好。

而且，我知道你对上帝的爱有多强烈。
虽然我没有你那样火热、那样公开的表达，
但每次见你，我都能感受到那份信念。

你常常用中文祝福我：
“上帝给你的智慧，上帝给你的恩爱…”
这些话，我会永远记住。

你的离开，不只是娱乐圈的巨大损失、
不只是与你一起工作过的人的损失，
而是所有曾经有幸与你相遇、与你同行过的人的损失。

你教会我很多行业里的事，
你在我最需要机会的时候拉了我一把，
你做的一切，都是真心、真诚、
而且是用你那份独特的热情去完成的。

老实说… 我真的不知道还能说什么。
因为不管我说什么，都不足以表达我们对你的思念。
我相信很多人都会有自己的故事、
自己的美好回忆，
都是关于你。

但有两个字,
无论你在不在，
我永远都会对你说：
