Nežádoucí účinky statinů, léků snižujících cholesterol

Statiny patří mezi léky, které blokují tvorbu cholesterolu. Cholesterol je přitom životně důležitou molekulou. Statiny proto mají různé nežádoucí účinky, a zejména nejsou podle studií vhodné u starších osob, žen a těch, co nemají žádné nebo jen nízké riziko srdečně-cévních nemocí.
