In this video from our archive we look back at the story of Aaron -- an 18-year old teen who was locked up for car theft. In this documentary, we see Aaron go through the detention center intake process, see him serve his time in his cell, watch as he meets with his lawyer, and hear from him in extended interviews about how and why he found himself in trouble with the law.
Update: Aaron was eventually waived to adult court after he refused to take a plea deal. He served a few months in adult jail and was eventually released. There is no indication he was ever back in the system after release.
