Sooo… about last week. Let’s just say this “work trip” handed us our butts. 🙃 We underestimated everything—but give up, we did not. We laughed at our mistakes (and wow, there were a lot).
We’re still new to this whole off-grid cabin thing, but every wild idea and failed attempt comes with a lesson… and honestly, that was half the fun.
We headed back to Canada to:
1. Fix the floating dock (kind of).
2. Figure out the lake water system (eventually).
3. Explore the area with the kids (nailed it).
Was it perfect? Nope. Was it a success? Absolutely. We worked hard, laughed harder, soaked up the sunshine, and made some core memories we’ll never forget.
Oh, and we left the dock in the water… just to force ourselves back up there ooooonnnneee more time before the lake freezes. 😉
