I ran across a ragchew on 75 meters and decided to listen in. We have storms approaching, so there were static crashes along with the usual QRN that is customary on the low bands. The FT-891 is able to clear up the noise and make it sound almost as if they are in the room with me. I use a combination of ATT, IPO, DNR, and RF gain. I then expand the IF filter width to restore some of the fidelity that you lose with digital noise reduction. It’s amazing what a $600 radio is capable of these days.
