Part 7 of our Hal Kelly Jinx restoration project. In this episode we show you the proper way to fasten 1/4" good one side plywood to the top of your boat. Since the shear was not very wide we used 1" # 6 Brass Screws that when countersunk pulled the plywood snug to the surface. Using brass screws can be tricky since brass is a soft metal and if you are not careful will shear off when driving them in. The screws I used on this project were sourced from Amazon Canada and were amazing!
