Eurobodalla SL58

I’ve been holding onto this video for a while, my final share from Eurobodalla. Catching SL58 here was a bonus back in 2012, seeing as it was only filling in for one of the fulltime garbage trucks. This 1995 model ACCO served a primary role collecting green waste from wheelie bins during the monthly collection schedule, while a rear loader handled the bundled/loose set-outs, otherwise this side arm served as a back-up vehicle. As with the other trucks operating out of the Moruya depot, this was originally part of the Staples Waste fleet, thus the striped “S” branding across the body, but the operation was eventually taken over by WSN and ultimately became a SITA contract later. We see this classic oldie on the run through a section of Sunshine Bay on a Thursday morning. A shame it runs at complete idle during lifter operation, but at least we catch its real sound during driving.
