A review of my DIY 2x72 belt grinder that is based off of Dan Comeau’s BG272 plans over at DCknives. I forgot to talk about the 3/8 thick base plate that the grinder is all mounted to, it really helps if you’re going to build one of these to secure it to a firm metal base plate or table. I initially had this one mounted on plywood and was not happy with it. The metal base plate made a world of difference. Enjoy!
