It happens, the traction pad on your board gets pulled up and needs to be stuck back down to your board. In this video we'll show you how fast and easy it is to repair or re-attach your traction pad to your board. While we are showing how to do this on a skimboard this technique applies to surfboards, sailboards, kiteboards, wakesurf boards, SUP's or any board (or boat) with EVA traction pads.
The steps are:
1. Mark out where the pad is supposed to be with a pencil (washes off later)
2. Clean any debris or contaminates from area
3. Apply contact cement to BOTH sides (board and eva pad)
4. Allow to dry to a tack free glossy surface (usually about 15 minutes)
5. Align and press into place
6. Go have fun!
