Danielle Bollinger never expected a cancer diagnosis at 48, especially with no family history. But on January 2nd, she was diagnosed with invasive carcinoma breast cancer.
“Cancer is a scary word. The first thing I thought was, I’m leaving my family.”
Danielle chose Covenant Health’s Joe Arrington Cancer Center for her care. “I found strength with my healthcare providers. I felt loved and like I had no worries.”
One of her biggest fears was losing her hair during chemo. For many women, hair is part of their identity. Thanks to the cooling cap, a device that helps reduce hair lass, Danielle was able to preserve her hair and her confidence.
“If I were to come up to you, and not know you, I don’t think you would know that I had cancer at all, because of the cooling cap.”
After several rounds of chemo and radiation, Danielle is now cancer free.
