IZRAEL (EXILE) | FAKAPO VOCAL FULL EPISODE
Izrael stepped into the Fakapo Vocal booth and gave us a masterclass in storytelling, vulnerability, and pure Zambian music history.
We kicked off with “So Lucky”, Izrael’s very first hit ... the song that introduced his voice and message to the nation. From there, he took us on a journey through the songs that shaped his career and personal life.
Next up was “Teti”, a record Izrael openly admitted he never wants to watch the music video for — but one that remains an important chapter in his story.
A fan favourite followed with “Kumvela Nimvela,” where Izrael shared how his own life experiences growing up inspired the song’s message.
The mood shifted with “Walimbikila,” a powerful song addressing gender-based violence, reminding us that music can be both entertaining and deeply meaningful.
We then moved to “Tikakumana,” a song he created with his wife, Nalu. Before performing it, Izrael told us how the two share a unique creative connection — almost telepathic — when making music together.
Izrael also opened up about the inspiration behind “Siku Ya Lelo,” breaking down the mindset and season of life that birthed the song.
To close the session, Izrael saved something special — “It’s Alright,” a collaboration with K’MILLIAN. More than just a performance, it felt like a musical challenge… a clear message of “let’s meet on stage.”
And that stage is set.
