I've been enjoying playing around with alcohol inks and wanted to know if I could burn off the top layer to create a nice crisp white design against the backdrop of an alcohol ink'd tile/coaster.
Settings: The best outcome for me was full power, full speed, 2 passes. I've try slowing down the laser for 1 pass but found I liked the faster, 2 pass result.
Used Ranger Tim Holtz alcohol inks, a GlowForge Basic laser, and inexpensive tiles from Home Depot.
I plan to do an additional video where I show how to engrave a plain tile and then add color afterward.
